FlexArray Version 0.3.0

I am proud to announce the release of version 0.3.0 of my flexible array gem for the Ruby programming world. The FlexArray class implements a flexible, multidimensional array construction that draws on my experiences in “C”, Pascal, APL and of course Ruby. Its goal is to facilitate the creation of rich data processing and analysis tools in the most joyful of all programming languages: Ruby

With version 0.3.0, the code has finally reached a level where it is ready to be released to the world. This project uses some new (to me) methodologies including: using git and github for source code control, and reek as a sort of programmer’s conscience, to keep me honest. In addition to rdoc style embedded comments, a separate stand-alone user’s guide, in the form of a pdf file is also supplied. The gem itself may be found at ¬†RubyGems.org

A lot of careful thought has gone into the design and implementation of this gem and I hope you find it useful and maybe even interesting. As always, any feedback or comments are appreciated and encouraged.

Best regards;

Peter Camilleri (aka Squidly Jones)
