This version is a dot dot 1 upgrade over the previous version. Normally this would signify a minor improvement, but in this case, more is going on. This release embraces a number of improvements to the gem, programming methodology, and to my coding style in general:
- I am finally embracing git and github. Source code control is important and I cannot ignore this aspect of development anymore.
- I have embraced the “reek” tool as a means to improve code quality. While I honestly did chafe at the impudence of this mere code scanner daring to criticize my work, for the most part, the reek tool was right. I have tried to adhere to the spirit of its advice and have improved the code accordingly.
- I have cut back on the scope of rdoc documentation tags in the code. To be honest, it was hard to see the code for the huge comment blocks. As an experiment, I have added a separate option list user’s guide in the hopes that this will provide the explanation that the rdoc entries could not.
